INVITATION TO ATTEND SECSAL XIX, 2010
The Botswana Organizing Committee of the XIX Standing Conference of Eastern, Central and Southern African Library and Information Associations, has the pleasure of inviting librarians, archivists and other information workers to the SCECSAL XIX to be hosted by the Botswana Library Association at the University of Botswana, in Gaborone Botswana, from the 6 to 9 December 2010. Pre-conference meetings and workshops will be held on 3 – 5 December 2010. SCESCAL was established in 1974 as a biannual regional conference for librarians and information professionals in the Eastern, Central and Southern Africa region. Currently it has a potential membership of over 20 African countries. Botswana Library Association last hosted the conference in 1986.
The main theme of SCECSAL XIX is – Enhancing Democracy and Good Governance through Effective Information and Knowledge Services.
